Ok, Mama's. You've worked super hard all week long. Spent precious hours going over heirloom recipes so that everyone is served his or her *favorites* for Thanksgiving. Gratitude marked as Blessings were offered up in prayer. The Left-overs have been put away, the dishes have been washed and the last pie has been eaten for breakfast.

So today...today is all about you! The Un-schooling, Eclectic Charlotte Mason'ish homeschooler is hereby given permission to just sit back and relax today. Especially if you're one of those crazy mama's who right after you shotgunned your pumpkin pie, changed from your heels to cross-trainers and braved the madness at Target for early bird specials. If either one of these descriptions fit you, then read on!

Because you've been so diligent all year long sacrificing, giving, crying, praying, rejoicing, hoping, sharing, and loving your children so much that you've taken on the Kingdom Work of homeschooling your children I've created My Favorite Gifts for Awesome Mom's with you in mind.

But first, a confession. Coming up with this list was somewhat difficult. Because you're not just a mom. You're not just a homeschooling mom. You're a woman with thoughts and G*d ordained gifts and talents of your own. Before kids, you had hobbies and likes and interests. Hopefully you still have those. I know for me I kinda lost myself, but after I read this book, I realized just how much of me I packed away. It was a giant "Ah-Haa!" that I was actually robbing my family, especially my children of knowing who I really am.

I painted a mural in our church eight years ago. When the girls saw it and I told them I was the one who painted it, they didn't believe me because they never saw me paint at home! If you love to crochet but you put it away when your children were little, it's time to bring it back out and teach them.

Y'all!!! You matter to your babies! Not just a "open this juice box" or change a diaper way, but a show them your heart kinda way. You can't pour from an empty cup. Self care is not selfish. Try to find you. I'm doing my best in self evaluating and recalling the things that once brought me joy, but somehow got muffled. Whether it be reading literature, cooking five star meals, or oil painting a masterpiece, do what makes you, YOU!

So with further adieu, here's to you! A few things just to love yourself.

If you feel you've lost a little bit of the real you, then try making a list to jog your memory. Start keeping a journal, and write down all the things you *used* to do. Creative things. Things that brought you peace and happiness. Once youhave them written down, do one thing. Better yet, share it with your family.

Julie Bogart is the Homeschool Mentor I never knew I needed! I'm praying I can join her Alliance but until then, here's her Winter Book. I love all her wisdom and encouragement. She shows the "real" in homeschool and motherhood, and I'm so thankful.

How about something to remind you of His Promises? Homeschooling and motherhood is tough. Lately, I've seen the return on the investment with my girls. Other days I envy the yellow school bus. Rest in His promises that He's on your side!

I love my coffee in the morning. How adorbs is this Mom Fuel Mug? You'll need some coffee or tea to go with it!

Hopefully you're taking your vitamins, drinking water and making healthy meals for you and your family. How about exercise?

After a long day, I looove taking a hot bath and these bath salts are my favorite! Light a candle while you relax your weary self. When was the last time you bought something pretty for yourself. Dangle earrings always make me feel pretty and they go with everything.

Here's some ideas for the artsy mom, the crunchy mom, the Bible Journaling mom, the gardening mom, the homesteading mom, and the mamaratzies. If you really want to spoil yourself, you can buy an Instapot or a Kindle. Two things I can't live without. Well maybe but certainly wouldn't want to. ;)

Everything I listed here are just things. Nuggets to help you along and encourage you to love yourself enough to treat yourself. Because you're awesome!

The real gift I want to give you though is priceless. It's the gift of enough.

When all you did was laundry for the day while the kids watched the Kratt Brothers, it's enough for that day. If you worked on math but let spelling go because you didn't want to "do no harm" to your relationship, then that's enough. We're living in a Pinterest Perfect world that can leave us feeling wanting more & better. Or worse, insufficient. The Winter Holidays are quickly approaching. Don't let insecurities find a home in your heart.

You Are Enough.

Another confession... I wear yoga pants. Like every day. (unless I'm going out!) I can't help it. They are so super cozy and I have little people who after eating like to use my legs as a napkin. If you're anything like me and just keep it casual at home, than this tee-shirt is for you!
